How many S65s were built in 2006?

AMG posted US production numbers in the Private Lounge. They show 427 2006 S65s. They don't show worldwide numbers, but I've heard that 40-50% of AMG sales are in the US, so you can estimate about 1000 total.

Have seen published somewhere that US buys some 60-70% of global 65 produc....
Anecdotally, one sees a lot of '07 S65s around BevHills and SF Peninsula....my sense from talking to dealers is that the relatively cheap 2yr leases offered on '07 S65 (from launch onwards) helped spur sales....
My guess is US bought 700 MY07 S65s....but would bet sales will drop-off dramatically in MY08 as most repeat buyers already have their copy....and are prob waiting to roll into a new 65 iteration at end of their 2yr lease w/perhaps a new, NA AMG V12.....

German 2006 S65 numbers
I had a review of the VIN on my 2006 S65, and while it was a one owner car it was produced for Germany and imported to the US. Are there any production numbers on cars made for the German market?
