Breaking in a new car

What's the real deal on breaking in a new car (S63)?

From what I've read on these posts the Merc manual says keep the revs down for the first 1000 miles, but I've also seen the exact opposite from a couple of serious tuner posts, who I would assume know what they're talking about (Vadim @ G&G for one).

Low revs, or punish it?

Marty

The AMG engine is broken in at the factory for you. Drive it like you stole it

Can you explain that factory process?

How you break your car in can be decided by whether you're buying or leasing.
