o8 S63 Display Question

Greetings All,

Long time lurker / reader, first time poster.

I have an o8 S63 that I moved to from an 06 S55. This new unit is awesome, huge leaps and bounds over previous generation AMG s class!
I have two questions and thought maybe someone here could assist?

1. The display (inside of the speedo) that you casn change information to... is there any way to set it so it always comes up as your specified view? Like if you always wanted your iPod information or AMG specific, after re-start it would already be there again?

2.The rear monitor.Isee some units that have yellow lines which are your"intended"angle of approach(via steering wheel input) mine doesn't do this however? Thoughts?

Congrats on a great car

Don't know of a way to "lock" center screen w/own preferences...personally, have become addicted to digital speed readout....have emailed mbusa suggesting that center screen be offered in a format w/a large central tach, within which is digital readout of gear selected/upshift warning....and digital speed readout....find current AMG screen worthless to use while in manual mode...peripheral tach and massive, hard-to-read speedometer make little ergonomic sense in an AMG w/paddleshifters, being driven on speed-limited public roads....unless they are "placebo shifters"....

Use rear-view cam daily for urban parking in front of restaurants, tight garages, etc....but have never paid any attention to all the colored lines...use a combo of camera, rt mirror flip down (to see curb) and Parktronic sensors to find my way....and have found car delightfully easy to park w/all those info feeds....perhaps the yellow steering lines only show up when camera has enough surrounding solid strucs to ascertain a parking spot/trajectory...but struggles to determine yellow lines in more spacious suburban settings???

Don't know the answer of the first question.

The latest model of rear view camera only have one pair of straight line. The curve line was removed due to complaints of confusion of the curve lines.

Curb Rash vs MBUSA

Rumor: The yellow guide lines have been eliminated because some owners, using the system, hit the curb, damaged their wheels, and had their lawyers threaten MBUSA for new wheels.
