Doubt even MB knows at this point.....prob about 200ish into US for MY08....

But would observe that seems like (per autotrader) some 50 new '08 S65s are sitting unsold around US....despite car being marketed as built-by-appointment-only

Perhaps a softening high-end car mkt (some 80 new, unsold CL63s are also sitting around US dealers)....

Those are inventory levels that would ashame even a US mfr....and it's hard to do discounted fleet-sales of S/CL63/65 to Hertz, etc to quickly clear bloated inventory...and it becomes harder to sell new 65s into NYC/Chicago, etc as weather worsens in coming weeks

Know a few guys (who've owned new 65s in past) who are hesitant to 2yr lease even a heavily-discounted new 65 (which prob depreciates about 50% in one yr) given the possibility that the elderly, heavy 65 motor will soon be replaced by a new, high-tech AMG V12 (AMG did all the heavy lifting to develop the brilliant, high-tech, light 63 motor some 18mos ago; what else could they be working on but the ancient V12???)

Welllll, I sold my GT3RS two weeks ago (because I'm enjoying the Black Series so much) and my S550 had a 'tire or wheel' vibration that was driving me nuts... (short drive my girlfriend says )..... that I got the 'Heebie Jeebies' and started looking over a S63 or S65!

I guess the S65s 'mean machine' reputation just won over the S63s value and performance!

Did you know there's 500 pounds difference in the two cars? You can definitely feel the weight difference. But you touch the S65s gas pedal and it gets POd and then takes off like a 'bat out of hell'!

So the S65 is WORLDS faster than the 550 right? I know thats the dumbest question, but I would consider it such a treat to test drive an S65! It just has the stats of the fastest car out there!!!

Mags glad to see you got a 65. Now you can tell me how it feels in power compared to your old slr and even the clk be and before any one says they handle better then the s65 I know. I just want to know which car feels/ is faster in a drag race. Thanks mags and post pics!
