Oil viscosity from factory?
How do I find out what weight of Mobil 1 came from the factory in my S63?

Should be 0w40, Euro Spec 229.x... Just recently 5w40 has been approved for S63 according to a notice at my dealer...
I seem to be needing to add a quart every 2K - have 4500 mi on it now...

The spec is 1 qt/1K - I've had to add as well - with almost 8K miles about 3 qts. I'm logging it.

I had an 06 S65 and it really burned oil. It would belch clouds of smoke when I started it in the morning.
I would definitely keep an eye on it.

If you haven't had an oil change yet you may want to use the 0-W40. Otherwise, check the last service to see what weight was used
