New owner.

Hi guys,

After my Bimmer 7 series, I decided it was time for a change in cars (and forum ).
Just got myself a preowned S55AMG. Ex-lease so i know there might be some issues around the corner but couldn't resist the price.
Looking forward driving the ship...
Is there anyone who can give a rough estimate of the cost of a B-service and what they service?
Also the car has 45K miles so about to expire on the MB warranty. Any suggestions what's best to do before it expires. (like a general checkup by MB)?

I ll post some pictures soon.

Bart

Congrats brother. I own a 2001 740i my self and just bought an EX-Lease 2005 S55 my self 3 weeks ago with 43K miles. I am wondering the same question that how much would it cost for B-service. I would suggest to buy an aftermarket warranty. And my research has led me to www.autowarrantybrokers.com. Do your search on this board in regards to warranty and B-service. Good luck with your car. Waiting for the pics.
PS: Compared to bimmerboard.com this board is a bit slow.

Congrats to the both of you on your new purchases and welcome to the forum. I hope you guys will always feel free to jump in and share your MB experiences and questions. I don't know the cost of the B service as I too am about 1000 miles away from a B service on my 2007 S600. I'm afraid it may be upwards of $400 ....don't know. Maybe I can find out soon and can post those figures soon.
Get an extended warranty for sure and enjoy.

Make sure to put up some pix. I need to do the same thing. I haven't done that yet.

Obsidian black with charcoal interior. Pretty much the most common color in MB world in the US.
I just need to figure out how to post pix.

B service.

Guys,

B service costs around 500 $ and an X-tra check-up of the car is 200. Was worth it as they found some minor stuff, all nicely covered under warranty. Thanks MB!

I' ll post the pix once i get the car.
