New S55 owner with a couple questions

Hi guys. I have been reading these boards for about a month now and I just purchased a 2003 S55 silver with 35k miles on it. The rims have been rubbed a couple of times and the tires are close to needing replacement, so I was thinking of getting new rims and tires. I really like the amg wheels that look like the ones that came on my car except they have the rivet-like things around the perimeter. What is that particular style called? I was thinking about going with 20"s. How much does this effect the ride? Will this void a warranty? Do adjustments have to be made to the computer to accurately display the speed, odometer, etc...? What is offset? No chance with 20's of getting tire rub when hitting large bumps or cornering very hard?
Yes I am a noob. Anyone taking the time to answer my noob questions would be greatly appreciated. I know people are going to ask for pictures. It has been raining since I bought the car. First nice day I will take some pics and post em. Thanks

I think you're speaking about the 65 wheels. Similar style to my avatar (10 spoke) but platinum finish with the rivets.

You're local dealer will be the arbiter of what is a warranty claim or not. Some are great to work with others are horrible. Go ask your SA what his opinion is if you change to 20's and the ABC fails, will they blame the 20's?

Not sure about the rubbing part, I'm still on stock 18's because I don't want to sacrifice ride quality.

Good luck with it.

you'll really feel every bump with 20's but they look cool. Not much rubber between the rims and potholes.
I'd go to l9's max, or like the thread above says, the ride will be smoother with 18's. Try and find some cool rims and you'd be happy.
