My warranty is going to be up soon, I was considering my options. Does MB offer a extended package?
If so how much?

I have a MB Extended Warranty on my '07 CL600. Mine is the longest period of coverage currently available - 3 additional years and up to 100K miles. The new car warranty is 4 years and up to 50K miles. In my case, I will be fully covered until July of 2014! The retail cost of this warranty is $4,800. This will probably be exactly the same price for the S600, although I don't know if this price is also the same for S65/CL65 AMG products. Prices will be less for the other available 'terms' from Mercedes for an extended warranty - 1 and 2 years. I have been told you must be the original owner of record to qualify for these particulars MB extended warranties on your car. There is, of course, a margin of profit built into these prices for the selling dealer...probably $900 or less on the most expensive plan. You will have to negotiate your best deal on an individual basis with your dealer, depending on your relationship & business volume with him. Best of luck. Z356

We bought our 2000 E320 wagon in 2004 as CPO starmarked for up to 7 yrs/100k miles. MB dealer spent about $3k getting it CPO's, and we got about $6k of warranty value out of it during the 3 yrs(1/2 was on the last check up at 99.8k miles to make sure all's cool). overall, it should have been $3k, but MB dealers don't always diagnose problems so well and ended up doing more stuff. however, i didn't car since it was zero deductible. one funny thing - it seems like almost everything was cov'd, but CD changer's not cov'd.
