Stock S65 vs RennTeched S600??
I’m actively pursuing my first MB purchase- either an ’05-’06 RennTeched/Kleemann S600 or a stock ‘06 S65. I’ve heard 2 different stories on which vehicle is faster- I’ve heard they would be very, very close....and just today I was told that a RennTeched S600 is “quite a bit” faster than a stock 65. Any truth to this? Anyone here with personal experience?
My dilemma- by the time I put wheels/tires on an ‘05 600 and then RennTech it, I’m within roughly 5k of a 65, but I get all the AMG goodies on the 65, a car that’s a year newer (longer warranty coverage) and don’t have to touch the ECU/TCU- and I actually like the wheels on the 65.

Well, there were a couple of '03-'06 RENNtech S600's running between 11.5-12.0 with tune and drag radials.

There were no stock S65 #'s on drag times. I would imagine that the S65 would be in the high 11's...low 12's. I say negotiate a really good deal on the S65 and tune that....tuned S65's run low to mid 11's.
