I love the new wheels as well!!
btw-my local dealer told me when I got my S65 (b/c I was considering mystic white as well) that starting in 2008 they changed to Arctic White, even though its a mystic white EDITION...The exterior color is actually Arctic White now not Mystic White (Pearl White). Crazy I know!!

The exterior paint does have a pearlesent effect to it , it does not appear to look like artic white...sorry no pics...rained all day and wife had to get her miles in today.

I think MB stopped offering the regular white and replaced it with Arctic White. Designo should be the same. I would be quite p***** to find out that I paid a HEFTY price ($2,280?) for a special-paint although I only got a color that's standard on every S-Class.

The interior and exterior of the mystic white was worth the charge...I had a s550 as a loaner and wow what a difference between that and the designo and s65 together......I promise it is not artic white..my wife and i both went to the garage to look at the paint and to get a good pic but could not get the pearl color to come through in the picture.

I guess I was misinformed....anyway, I am sure pleased to hear that the Mystic (Pearl) white is still available!! (It looks the best IMO)!! You surely have a truly special car! Im jealous of that color!!

i never understand why choosing white as interior... for sure it will look nice for the 1st few months and then u ll start to have a hard time trying to keep it clean... even my SL red seats are turning black now....

Thanks everyone...The white will be a chore to keep clean but the contrast of the white and black and the piano black wood is terrific and makes it worth while.

My M5's interior is very light as well (see link) so I had the same concerns about keeping it clean. Turned out that it was no problem at all...

There was a small glitch in the begining of the '08 ordering cycle, but it has since corrected! I have sold serveral S' and CL's with the mystic white package and no one can get over its beauty!
