Something on 4 wheels..
Is this really an 08?
Hi,
I'm looking at the following car and according to the manufaction-badge, this car was built September 07. It is also advertised as an 08.
I know that it's not difficult to switch to the 09 PP-wheels but what's interesting is the steering-wheel with the shift-paddles. I didn't expect to see them on cars prior to MY09.
So are there any MY08s that already came with these 2 features or do you think the prior owner made both of these modifications (that's what I assume)? Here's the car I'm talking about:

Thanks for your input!

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
As far as the Sep 07 Production Date
On 2008 Cars
Production dates usually would run from about August 07 till maybe May 08....
Any of these would constitute a 2008 Model Year
This is true for any model year, and most brands as well
For Instance, a build 08-2008 Bentley Continental would likely be a 2009 car, as well as a 05-2009 build.....
Hope that helps w model years-

Aftermkt changes...who knows if tires were damaged during the wheel swap (or if those were used 030 wheels sourced for install)...or if that steering wheel airbag works???
MY08 got the quilted leather
Sept07 build may not have BlindSpotAssist as part of DistPlus...IIRC, that started w/?Oct07 builds...IMO, BSA is quite additive to active safety
BTW, absurdly high ask price in era of discounted, new, '09 65s...and facelifted '10 65s (w/much new tech, esp more advanced, debugged active safety stuff and likely new Comand interface) perhaps 6-8mos away...

I agree about the price - there is a different 08 for sale with 3K miles on it and that seller is even asking for $190K. Hahahaha...
Anyway, I wasn't interested in buying one (now) - I just check the market on a regular basis and was a bit surprised to see a car with those two - let's call them - "accessories"...
I can't tell for sure if that car has the BSA - according to the datacard Oxygen posted, it should - but again, I don't know how accurate they are...
