Purchasing 2003 S55 Dilemma

My brother in law found out I am looking for a Mercedes, so he offered me his 2003 S55 with less than 40,000 miles for $20k. Only problem is he didn't drive it very much for the last 6-8 months. It just sat in the garage. He just started driving it again & noticed there was some oil on the floor in the rear. I havn't seen it, but I assume it is ABC related. Maybe a bad strut?
Wondering if I should buy it. I would assume a warranty purchased wouldn't cover the ABC or maybe it would be excluded b/c it is preexisting condition before purchase of a warranty.

It should be fairly easy to find the location where the oil is coming from, and also what kind of oil it is. ABC oil is very distinct.

Other than that a S55 with only 40,000 miles for $20,000 is a good deal.

I have a 2003 S55 and its a great car. If you can get it for only 20k take it and run, average cost for that car is 30k-40k. also the oil maybe a seal leaking on the drive shaft approx. cost to repair from dealer is about 1500.00. But a 100.00 and a hour at the dealer will tell you eveything wrong with the car.

I say go for the deal man. You now and trust the guy I'm guessing. You get a S55 AMG which is a really good deal.
