hi all,
my auto trunk open/close function acting a bit funky.
no problems closing, but when i try to open from the trunk, the button only makes the trunk go up 1-2" - i have keep holding the button down in order for it to open all the way. it wasn't like this before.
anyone have idea...i have 3rd party warranty for components, but i need to know what the items might be.

Believe it or not, this is a feature. You can make the trunk do what yours does if for example your garage isn't high enough for the trunk to fully open.
To make it normal again: Open the trunk completely (by pressing the open button several times). Then, when the trunk is fully opened, press the trunk button to the open position and keep it pressed for at least ten seconds. Then the trunk should open/close all the way again.
