Sirius Radio??

Howdy all,

I just purchased a 2006 S65 (love it) and it has the factory installed Sirius Radio called out on the option sheet along with the bump on the trunk. My question is, when I was looking for the ESN number to activate it it says "no Sat Radio Installed". Is there a simple troubleshooting tree to follow to get it to see the radio before I take it to the dealer?

I read the manual and it says the sat radio ESN# should come up when powered-on even with out a subscription.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

You may need to contact Sirius to sign up. I believe Sirius needs your VIN and a code on the radio unit. Be prepared since they are very aggressive and try to sell you a three year contract, although I think the first few months are free.

If the SAT tuner was working you should be getting the weather channel. All get that one for free.

I was wondering if the free weather channel station finally gives up after a certian period of time if not used. It looks like I will need to go into the dealer before I can activate it? Is there a reset switch or fuse for the Sirius radio? I looked it up on the complete fuse listing but there was nothing for Sat radio. Thanks for the inputs.
