2002 S55 warranty to expire
hi all,
i've got 30 days left on my 110k miles S55 extended warranty.
the local MB dealer is checking it out to see if anything else is "broken", but wanted to get everyone's input on what to specificially look for.
with any luck, i'd like to get another 2-3 yrs on this baby before changing cars. when everything is working, this is such a SWEET car w/ awesome speed and comfort...especially given that street value is only $12-14k.

I have a 2001 S55 with 116k miles, pretty much the same car you have and I recently had this done:
Replaced lower ball joints, and control arm bushings
New spark plugs
New break rotors and pads for the back
new oil, cooling sytem flush, brake flush, rear differential flush
Replaced headlamp washer nozzles that were causing a leak
That's pretty much it, the car runs beautifully. There are 1 or 2 minor oil leaks, but nothing major. Just make sure to stay up on that routine preventive maintenance like some of the things I did above, and you should be fine.
