A police man friend says they love personalized number plates, easy to read,
easy to write down. He said clever people have long numbers and letters
particularly with 2 m's or w's together. believe me he said sometimes we only get a quick view, and if it's long and random they don't bother.

In england you would never get S65 V12 and if it was for sale, it would be worth more than the car.

I wouldnt put the plates. It already says s65 on the trunk and v12 bi turbo badges on the side. You don't need to announce it to the whole world that you drive a v12 s65.

I agree, generally. I just couldn't help but celebrate (for myself, at least, through the plate) the last year of what I think might go down as one of AMG's best engine/trans/body combos of all time, a la Red Sow. But Sabato and I might be the only ones who think so. A W220 S65 might similarly be worth celebrating.

Which reminds me to ask you, precisely what is the difference between the engine/trans/body combo of the W220 v. W221, except curb weight? Were there any specific lessons learned with the W220 fitment that were carried over and/or rejected for the W221 fitment? How much of this effort was spent considering whether the then new 7speed trans would work with the S65 engine? I personally LOVE the 5speed in the DBLNCKL.

Any thoughts you would share are appreciated.
