Side Mirrors on new S-Class - wassup?

CLK63 AMG and CLK63 Black Series
Side Mirrors on new S-Class - wassup?
In front of me getting onto the freeway this morning was a new S-class (with a midget in it, I think) - the side mirrors seemed to be displaying a yellow triangle for some reason. A little later when I passed the car, while he was braking for some reason, the mirrors had flashing red triangles. Can anyone tell me what this is?
