SL55 - Upgrading the audio system?
I love my 2005 SL55 (with stock bluetooth, voice activated system, navigation, satellite radio, etc.) but the stereo system (the sound) is the worst stock system I've ever owned. Any ideas? Anyone replaced the audio system while keeping the COMAND system in place? Or replaced the whole kit and kaboodle? Ideas? Photos? Costs? Looking for some direction. Live in the Seattle area.

the cleanest way is what I did..
your command fiber optic goes in to mobridge DA1000 and digital out to audison bit 1..
from bit one to your amps. then it is up to up either to change/upgrade speaker.
I am a audison dealer. so I have all audison amp. But I have not change speaker. and I was surprise with sound it came out of stock speaker.

Hi - hay does anyone know if the SL55 radio can be changed to the later Version at all ?
Or is there a Kit you can buy that goes around the dash part so you can use a rectangle shaped normal double din Head Unit instaed ???? Pac 55
