This is probably a dumb question but can you take a used S65 to a CPO dealer and get it certified? I'm looking at a 2007 S65 that still has the factory warranty until 8/2011, has 12,000 miles on it now. If this isn't possible, Is there a company out there that I could buy an extended warranty for a S65?

Any MB Dealer can CPO this car and sell you an extended warranty, but you have to do it before th original factory warranty expires. I believe they will give you an option of 1-2 years at a cost of around $3,500 for a two year (up to 100K miles) extension.

MB will sell you an MB extended warranty under these two conditions:
1) Original owner & car still under 5 year 50k warranty
2) You purchase a CPO car from MB they can sell you up two addtional years up to 100k miles for $3,955. It fully refundable too

I highly recommend you call your local dealer and ask them re extended warranty specially since this car appears to be under the original factory warranty. Any MB Dealership has one person in charge of selling extended warranties.
