2006 S65 Navigation questions
Hi Everyone! Im still new to owning a S65 and I have a few questions. I tried doing the search on here but couldnt find what I was looking for. Also there might me newier info out there than the stuff I found. But I had a few questions about the COMAND unit.
1) Is it possible to get tv and dvd playback with the unit? I read somewhere on here that there is a MB tuner and antenna? Does anyone have p/n or know where to find these?
2) Is it possible to hook up a back up camera to the head unit? And p/n's or websites would also be nice.
3) What is the newest Navigation DVD for the COMAND unit? And what is better about the new one than the old one besides newer streets/highways? Also, on my Nav when I try to enter a destination it either doesnt let me enter the street number or it gives me a option for street numbers like "20168-20210" Is this normal? I know in my 08 ML you can put in the entire street number.
Thanks in advance guys!

That factory nav system is junk IMO......I replaced mine with the Kenwood 7120. It offers everything you've mentioned below and probably cost less than modifying/adding to your factory system.
My dealer wanted $1300 just to add Satellite radio alone......I added the entire system (head unit, DVD player, Ipod capabilities, blue tooth, nav, Satellite radio, etc) for just under 2k installed. It was a no-brainer for me.

Yes, pics below. And, yes....it does everything & more that the factory unit does. Bluetooth, nav, back-up camera, ipod, sirius, dvd player, and about 16 things that I don't know how to use. Keep in mind, this head unit is about 2yrs old....I'm sure they have "updated" versions now, but I love mine. I really wanted a Kenwood because they use "Garmin" for all their nav applications. I've found Garmin extremely easy to use........
