S55 won´t start after being washed
Hi,
I own an S55 which has a problem with the ignition. After heavy rain, the car won´t start, so I took it to garage and they told me I needed to buy a new gear module, wich costed me Eur970. After receiving it the technician told me it needed to come pre-configured from the factory for this specific car. He can not tranfer the data from the old module coz it´s damaged.
Could you please give me ideas on how this could be solved?
The car now starts, but won´t shift gears.

happened to my e class , clk . there is a switch for the shifter that if it gets wet . i had the shifter lock as well every time . but the module is correct .car wash paid for it both times

Is there any advice for me on this case? I just bought a brand new module, but according to MB technician, it had to come pre-configured from the facture, wich it didn´t. Now I´m stuck with a Eur970 module...
