Help needed! New 2007 S63 Owner.
I just bought an used 2007 S63 and I need help with a few questions I have. Thanks in advance.
1. How do you determine that I have the Active Body Control or not normal Airmatic Suspension?
- Since I normally do not buy used car, I do not know whether I have the ABC suspension? I had always thought that the ABC is standard equipment, but it seems that it is actually an optional.
2. How to remove the speed limiter?
3. Can someone share the experience in lowering the car? Does it improve performance? Do you sacrifice the comfort? Which company makes the best module?
4. I am planning to upgrade the wheels. Should I go with the 22"? One expert in my area told me I should go with 21" for front and 22" for rear?
Thank you all for reading my post.

You can accomplish speed delimination and lowering by sending your ecu to any tuner. No different than in your C63.
The suspension and braking system of the S 63 AMG are a highly impressive high-tech package. The AMG sports suspension based on Active Body Control (ABC) all but entirely eliminates the body movements that occur when moving off, cornering and braking. Bends are negotiated with far less roll; the body roll caused by fast evasive manoeuvring is effectively suppressed. 8.5 and 9.5-inch wide 19“ AMG light-alloy wheels in a new four-spoke design, with wide-base tyres in size 255/40 (front) and 275/40 (rear), not only fill the striking, flared wheel arches perfectly, but also ensure outstanding road contact. Two completely new AMG light-alloy wheels in size 8.5 and 9.5 x 20 inches – one of them using a particularly lightweight forging technology – are available as optional extras.

You can go to a larger wheel and tire combination safely as long as you maintain an overall diameter and load carrying capability that is consistent with the OEM setup.
As to the speed limiter, AMG cars are capable of about 188 MPH but limited to 155 MPH, which is plenty on even oval race tracks. But if you think you will be going over 155 MPH then as others said above, a tuner can remove that for you. MB can do it as well but never will for obvious insurance and liability reasons.
Good luck with the new car.
