2006 S65 Transmission Issue

I recently purchased a 2006 S65, I have noticed some slippage in the transmission and some throttle lag in both reverse and drive. When it engages it drives fine. I thought, since I discovered afterwards that the previous owner did no maintenance, and essentially dumped it when all of the important maintenance work was coming due (40K & 60K) might simply need a transmission service which I had done. It is not much better, and now I am getting responses from several sources that it might be anything from a software re-flash to adjust, to something more ominous like a torque converter going bad? Anyone have any thoughts or previous experience with this issue? Thanks.

I had a problem that sounds similar. There was a delay initially engaging forward or reverse after moving the gearshift plus some initial slippage. The dealer repaired it under warranty, it was a problem in the valve body. Unfortunately I did not pay close attention to what failed, it was not software. The car had about 15k miles at the time.

It could still be low. you could,nt really tell while it was on the ramps. better check it again on the level. you could have it too full or not enough. also it could be the transmission filter clogged up.
