03 KeylessGo Smart card upgrade to a new key?

03 KeylessGo Smart card upgrade to a new key?
I have read as many threads as I could find about KeylessGo smart cards.
Just bought a 2003 E55 with two keys but no smart card provided and the keylessGo doesnt work. Two remotes work as expected.
Questions:
Can I still buy a smart card for this year?
Better still, can I buy a new keylessGo key from the dealer that replaces the smartcard altogether?
Will I have to release the current (missing) smart card using the Star System to be able to use either a new smart card or new keylessGO key?

OK, so I managed to get in front of a MB parts guy today and this is what he said.
The 03 S range card is still available and has to be ordered just like any other key with proof of ownership and also programmed using STAR - as others have said. This model year cannot be upgraded to a new keylessGO key and must continue to use the card. Oh well.
Card retail is about $350.
You can have up to 2 cards per car active.

Update - I did upgrade my 03 S- class to keylessGo keys. You need a used or new keyless go module from a 04 to 06 replaced in the trunk, a new kelyessGo key from the dealer, and programmed in STAR. It works!

How is the keyless go upgrade going...
Hello: See you upgraded your keyless go in your 03 s55 about 1 month ago. Has it been a trouble free upgrade? Did you have part numbers for the keyless go unit in the trunk? Car has to have card based keyless go initially, correct?

It was longer ago than that. Just buy a used KG module from a 04 and buy a keyless go key from the dealer. You will need star to program the key to the module.
