s55 is hard to get out of park
I am having a hard time getting my car out of park from time to time and already took the time to take out my shift assembly to replace the cheap plastic bracket that is usually broken. however, when I got inside my shift assembly the bracket was perfect and not broken. What else can i do on my own without going to the stealership?

Its the shifter, mine did the same thing, the park lock does not fully release in the shifter. fyi if it does get stuck in park, remove the shift knob and while pulling back on the lever hit the top of it with a rubber/plastic hammer. It sounds bad however that's how you get them out of park when the shifter fails
