s55 2005?
Hey guys, I don't post here much. I have been reading all over and looking for another car. I got a c32 2002 right now in addition to a few other cars. I really want an s55. Been reading everyones posts about known problems with the s55. Is the ABC Problems in all s55? Is it something you can fix yourself or no? anyone have an idea on the cost of just the parts and roughly how many hours it should take? any other costly repairs I should be well aware of?

The ABC "problems" you keep reading about are common on all the W220 years.
The pump is good for about 80K miles and all the other parts seem to break at random. BUT I will say this, when the pump fails and you wait to long it will cause more damage. The ABC system most certainly can be a DIY but you have to be real good with the wrenches. It is a very hard job to replace the pump but it is not impossible either. Good luck. The S55 is an amazing car!
