01 S55 will not shift out of 1st gear

01 S55 will not shift out of 1st gear
So last friday after going through a car wash my indicator went out on the dash and it will not shift out of first gear. I have read on here off this happening to other people where the tcm gets wet. My question is where is it located and if I can not dry connections and I get new one or used one does it have to be flashed by dealer? Thanks!

TCM is located under the hood on the passenger side of the car right in front of the hood hinge. It is in the box. Remove the box's cover and it should be the one furthest towards the fender of the vehicle. unplug, it, open it up and clean it and see if it has any water damage.

your hood vent drain is probably blocked. Thats the large plastic area under the hood close to the firewall on the passenger side. Pull off the black plastic grill and poor water inside and observe that it drains quickly. if not poke a thin stiff rod down there until its clear.
