Hi! I'm new at forum and sorry if i missed right thread.
I'm looking to buy 08-09 S63 amg, but i don't have any experience how is he in snow, any of you guys have any ideas? I'm worried about the snow because here where i live snows alot during winter, we have like 30-40cm of snow (Europe) and streets are not usually that much clear, but some of the front wheel drive cars don't have much problems but again usually front wheels drive don't have much power, but s63 has as we all know.. so i think it will be pretty bad in snow... best thing will be to keep it in garage but I'm just asking how will be because i know some of you drove it in snow before.
Thank you very much!

I ran my S600 on 4 V rated snows here in CT last winter and it was "OK" (downsized to 245s)
granted we didn't have a lot of snow last season (thankfully), but I had it out in a couple 4"-6" storms and it was decent
starting off on an incline is the biggest challenge but once under way it was very stable and sure footed
I say "OK" being in relative terms - I came out of 3 quattros previous... with snows 8-)
but I've run all my MB's prior to this w/ 4 snows and did fine
YMMV 8-)

I put Pirelli Sottozero on my stock (staggered) rims, same size as original Summer tires.
First Winter was easy, this one was sometimes difficult because these tires wore off very quickly in the mild weather we had this time in Chicago.
It's my daily driver (done 20k miles since December 2010) and I never got stuck.

I have a S65 in Chicago, as long as you don't mash either pedal, you'll be fine.
