I left my interior light on all night and in the morning, the battery was completely dead. After jump starting it, this is on the displat. It reads:

restr.sys. defect. SRS visit workshop.

These cars do not like being jump started. In the future, the best approach is to remove the battery, charge it (slowly at 2-amps) and reinstall.
Spikes in the jump start current cause glitches in the electronic modules. It is hard to say if damage has occurred or not but I would guess not and you probably just need a reset using STAR DAS or you maybe able to pull the fuse for SRS for 10 mins and reinstall. I do not know off hand where that fuse is located but you should to find out easily enough yourself.

Also, be aware that once a battery has been fully depleted it will no longer be as good as it was before. The fact that you managed to drain that huge battery with a dome light overnight suggests that it's time for a new battery anyway. A new battery works wonders and often you can just feel things are working better.

Thanks very much for your reply. You sound like a MB authority.
On the fuse chart, there is no mention of, SRS or airbag or anything. Everything else is there, like a hunderd other things, but not that? What if I disconnect the battery for 10 minutes. Is there a code to make the radio work again? Would there be residual issues if I disconnect the battery? Because I am unable to locate the fuse,\.

Try it...disconnecting the battery can't hurt, and yes you will need the code for the radio..you can call the dealer for that
