2004 S55 - Service indicator keeps jumping randomly?
Well actually, not randomly, but does tend to add on miles when its supposed to be taking them away.
For example, for the last 2 weeks my car has been advising me to add 1 litre of oil when i can. So eventually a couple of days ago i did just that. Brand new fresh 0w40 Mobil 1 went in. The service indicator at the time was showing 2,200 miles to the next service A.
Driving it around for 2 days and checked the service indicator again and it was showing 3,300 miles![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Its just added on 1,000 miles simply because iv added 1 litre of oil.
In the past iv noticed every time iv added oil to it its jumped up by a couple of hundred miles, but not this much.
Is this supposed to be alright? Is it even accurate? Or my thinking is that these 3,300 miles will drop a lot quicker over the next few weeks.
