02 S55 price
Can anybody give me an idea of what a nice 02 S55 with keyless - go should go for. I'm aware of all the internet pricing guides, but with these cars being somewhat rare, I'm just looking for some real world numbers. Thanks

Probably in the $15K range if is has under 80K miles...dont pay more than that because that is not a supercharged car...first year for the kompressor was 2003...prices jump tp $20K plus for 2003 or later cars that are nice.

I paid 9800 for my 2001 S55 with 120k miles, It is designo silver edition with all the options (adaptive cruise included, missing on most others)
So, 13k-15k is the right price. Get ready to work on the ABC valves, struts, oxygen, maf, crank postion, cam position sensors. Also, brake pads, rotors, parking brake etc
Check the fluid color of ABC it should be greenish, if it is blue time to flush. check for leaks:
1. valve covers, easy to to remove the top cover on engine
2. strut leaks, you should be able to see it with close inspection under wheel well
3. transmission leaks - you may have to drop the underbody covers to see it or you can use a flash light. It will capillary to ABC hoses, you may be able to to see that
4. listen for radiator fan noise
5. outside temp indicator may be way off
6. also set at LOW for cold air to see if it is really blowing, go all the way high to heat
7. drive to see if the steering wheel is off centered (the car goes straight and may even have a slight pull) if it does ask when was the last alignment done, if the car is in an accident (may have clean title, and car fax is not always100%). The body may be misaligned. Even at a 30mi side impacts misalign the body
These are the few to look for....
Any one wants to add more?
