Keyless go help?
My wifes key works fine on her 2006 s55. My key locks and unlocks the doors,pops trunk and starts car when you put it in the ignition but the keyless entry does not work and neither does the push button start. I get "key not recognized" but its only the one key.I put in fresh batteries but still getting the same message! Any help is appreciated!!

This may sound silly, but are you sure that keyless fob is for that car? Has it worked before whilst you've owned the car?
My fob was doing the same thing when i first purchased my car, so i got the previous owner to sort it out before i took the car. Apparently he went back to Mercedes and was told by the tech that it would need new batteries and then may need re-programming to the car. Fortunately for us the new batteries did the trick and it not require anything else. Maybe yours needs re-programming back to the car.
Curiously though, mine has started doing the same thing again for the last week or so, fresh batteries has cured it but it still does it every now and then. Sometimes i think it might be something to do with the brake pedal. Can you switch ignition on with your keyless fob, thats pressing the start button without having your foot on the brake pedal.

Yep everything works with the fob except the unlock when you put your hand near the door handle, the pushbutton on the handle that locks/unlocks the doors and the pushbutton start
