05 S55 antenna questions
hey all.. after a bit of back and forth with a seller and a mechanic I'm finally getting to enjoy some fine german engineering (pics forthcoming).
question today is about the antennas on my 05 S55 - specifically the fin antenna on top. pretty soon after I got the car someone (read: arsehole) stole the cover off the fin, so now I've got a chunk of metal and electronics sticking up off the roof of my car.
as far as i can tell everything still works with the GPS, so i think all i need is a new plastic fin, which i can't find for the life of me. best my mechanic could do was new $700 entire antenna assembly, which seems a little bit overkill... anyone else have to deal with this problem? anywhere I can get a new fin?
