2005 S55 TPMS
Purchasing a set of 4 HERU (Mfr of MBZ TPMS) sensors. Tire Rack carries them and price installed is several hundred dollars cheaper than dealership. Question...will I need to go to the dealer for the sensors to be "activated" for lack of a better word or will car figure that out??

Yes unless you have the Star system and can do it yourself, i believe you will have to PAIR the sensors...similar to Bluetooth.
