First post time posting on this forum. I bought my first Mercedes S65 4 months ago. I have the extended warranty and unfortunately i have had to take advantage of it multiple times already. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my car but this is getting a little bit ridiculous it seems like there is always something going wrong. My most recent problem happened yesterday. I got in my car to go to work when 5 minutes later my check engine light comes on and i start to lose power. The car started to idle rough so i turned it off and restarted it. The light is still on but the rough idle has gone away. Now as soon as i get over 4k rpm's i start to lose power again and the rough idle comes back until i restart the vehicle. If i stay under 4k rpm's it as though there is no issue (except the check engine light stays on). Is this a common issue with these cars?

Had a CL65 basically the same car except two doors. Sounds like a spark plug or ignition coil issue. Have you replaced your spark plugs? They should be done every 5 years or 60,000 miles. Most people neglect this service cause it costly. Just be glad u have the warranty & enjoy it!

Had a similar issue recently. Check the numbers on your coil packs.
Had the same feeling as you with the "seems like there is always something going wrong" as I've had to use the warranty several times also. It's the nature of the Beast. I look at it this way……as long as it happens under warranty you're good. Get it taken care of and you should have worry free driving for years to come. These cars need and love to be driven and driven hard at times. Most first owners either let them sit, or baby them.

These cars have a few common hiccups with the coil packs , spark plugs , abc pump etc .... Enjoy the beast , if you don't mind me asking what company do you have extended warranty through ?
