Seriously, that's a very nice looking car.
One of these days I'll find one. I'm in for a 221 or 216 CL65/600/S600/65. Don't care what really. needs to be a color that's not black/silver/grey, with sport pack (if it's just a 600), and absolutely must(repeat: must!!!!!!!!) have distronic. Only looking for 07-09 though as I'm not a fan of the 2010+ facelift. Gotta make it as hard as possible, eh? Took me two and a half years to find my current '04 S600. I haven't seen one since either.
PS, one little hint for your 65. Go and code the car to euro-spec with Xentry. It'll turn off those silly front corner markers, not ding so much when you put the key in the ignition, and not remind you about your seatbelt. Best mod ever IMO.

E63 Biturbo, UPD Cold Air induction kit, UPD performance crank pulley and UPD adjustable rear suspension with ride height adjustment.
CL55 UPD Cold Air Boost kit, UPD 3000 stall converter, UPD 77mm SC clutched pulley and beltwrap kit, Custom long tubes, UPD crank pulley , UPD suspension kit, UPD SC pulley, Aux. HE, Trunk tank w/rule 2000 pump, Mezeire pump, UPD 5pc idler set, Aluminum rotor hats.

As far as Distronic goes the system keeps you automatically at a distance from the vehicle in front and makes a major contribution towards minimising the risk of rear-end collisions by identifying potentially dangerous situations and responding accordingly.
Car slows down you slow down. Car Speeds up you speed up. Enough to keep a equal distance not so much you crash the guy in front and not little that you get hit from behind.

Going to throughly clean the calipers, rotors, wheelwells, etc when installing.
Can't wait for the season here to star attending some local car shows with. I have always loved Automobiles. Had many. I researched enough to educate some people about the Mercedes & AMG line up. Car should spark up some conversations.

Have taken the wheels off and gotten them cleaned up to about perfect shape.

Doesn't matter how pampered it was/is, 44k rotors aren't going to mesh well with new pads. They will def wear the pads down very quickly.
Red stuff pads come with abrasive coating for that purpose. (Seating) Will be ok.
I have switched every vehicle I have had over to Ceramic without turning (Unless needed) My 01 F150 had 170,000+ miles. Now has 194,000. No problems.
