2008 S65 question
Finally I am ready to purchase an s65 or s63. I came across an 08 s65 with 57k miles that has a 'minor accident reported' on the autocheck. It's a 3 owner car, fully loaded and seems to be cosmetically perfect from the pics. Would any of you touch this car? Asking price is 57k which is way too high IMHO. Thoughts? Also planning on purchasing an aftermarket warranty and am wondering if the autocheck report would be an issue

Any time there is an accident report on CarFax or Autocheck, it will follow the car forever of course. I believe any accidents costing over $750 is reported which could be as minor as it gets but I am not sure if you could the true nature of the accident from previous owners.
The price is not out of line but I would look for one with a clean history and less owners unless you plan to keep the car for a very long time.
Do a PPI before buying, the S65 is a good solid car but repairs are expensive. Lastly maintenance history is a must, with a VIN you can get complete history from any MB Dealer since S65 owner typically don't service cars at JiffyLube or Pep Boys.
