Help with S55 Car Purchase
Hello everyone,
I'm a newbie to this forum so I aprecate any assitance offered. I have an opportunity to purchase a 2001 S55 with 100K on the clock. My local Benz Dealer tells me it needs the following:
1. Front control arm parts and labor $992.32
2. Valve cover gaskets $815.95
3. Trunk hinge $1,617.09
4. Seat modules $1400 a piece
The valve cover gasket was replaced two years ago, should this still be covered under warranty? Should I walk away or can some of this be done at home?

all the repair can be done at home.
i have a couple of S55 that I am parting out and you can buy the seat modules and trunk hinges from those cars for fraction of the price.
