S55 AMG 2003
In the market for a V220 S Class and now i have just learnt to look for something 2002 and up
Just found S55 AMG but the description is a bit troubling
hope someone can confirm
You will never see this LONG WHEEL BASE AMG S55 in Australia unless you import from some other country. The number "174" on the VIN W220174 tells you that this is a real long wheel base spec. 120mm longer cabin brings you more luxury.
Please keep in mind i am from Australia and Mercedes are well expensive here

Sounds like an Aussie weirdness factor. Get the real VIN and enter it in a known good online MB VIN decoder.
My 2003 S55 long wheel base (that's all they offer in USA) VIN starts with:
"WDBNG74J83Annnnnn"
Where nnnnnn are the last six numerical digits.
2003 model year was the start of the supercharger run.
