Can anyone suggest some mods for the 2006 S65 AMG. I just purchased one at 75K miles. The resonators are gone however the exhaust still sounds like KINDER CARE --- very soft.


I would like to find the ECU RENNTECH plug in to the OBD2 if possible. Also, has anyone actually done anything with the CATS etc ??

check out speedriven they have a ton of stuff!

the 06 S65 has no resonators. some guys do muffler delete and says it sounds way better. I did speeddriven downpipes, retaining my mufflers, and it sounds massively better, especially on cold start when the secondary air pump is doing its "thing". And under hard acceleration...you can really hear the turbos.

the 65 doesn't have resonators stock, and renntech is a bit overrated and overpriced, i went with Eurocharged ECU/TCU with Catless pipes and all i can say is WOW
and being able to pull a car length on a pully/tune hellcat isn't bad either

My 06 ran a 11.3 with Solid motor mounts( they feel great) from speed driven. Billet BOV from speed driven and a ECU tune from eurocharged. Even with straight pipes car doesn't sound great. I put muffler back in cause it was just too droney. Here some videos, I just installed a custom intake and oh my. Get ride of the stock air boxes asap.
