Is the 07 S65 well worth it over an 06 S65?

So I'm thinking of selling my 05 S600 for an 07 S65. The 06 S65 is essentially the same car as my S600 (with a tune) but the 07 is obviously a complete different story. Seems like performance wise the 06/07 is pretty much the same but the interior is far superior IMO. Just wondering what your thoughts are .TIA

I had a 2003 S55 that I loved but the 2007 S65 I replaced it with is a completely different story all together. I love everything about my S65 and sometimes think I am be a bit obsessed with her.
Good luck
Johan

Agreed, the 2007/W221 is a quantum leap in exterior design and interior fittings/amenities. Much more modern car that you will not be tried of in a year or so. IMHO, the W221 is also one of the best looking S-class cars ever (and I own three generations of S-classes)...very aggressive yet elegant. The W220 and W222 look like a bar of soap....and the difference in actual street performance isn't worth talking about.

Having had both a w220 and two w221s, there is really no comparison. The w221 is an overall much, much better vehicle. That being said, there were some interesting features in the w220 that are absent from the w221. The auto moving rear view mirror - the 'magnifying' visor mirror - small stuff like that are no longer on the w221.

Weird thing about the memory rear view mirror! I mentioned it a while back in a post that it's absent in my W221 but had it on my W220. Don't know why it's gone. I had an early build MY 2000 S500 that was great and I drove it well into 200K mile territory but love my W221 - granted it's a 65. '08 S65 is the most reliable Mercedes I've owned but of course "Your Mileage May Vary!" Miss the auto mirror though and W220 Bose sound system was better. I see nice W220's on the road and they still look great.

Interestingly I think my W220 Bose does sound better than my S63 HK.
Slightly....
