2012 S63 Rear Differential
In March I picked up this car having been an S Class owner for 16 years. So I found one that met my specs and price etc. Was also brave in that I knew there was a problem with the rear differential and it would be replaced. So the dealer and I negotiated that into my price. Will be getting warranty after that is repaired.
You're not going to believe this: my indie ordered the "new" part for me and UPS lost it. There is a claim outstanding. I paid for that used diff in advanced.
My question: does anyone know of a good place to source a used differential for this vehicle? New ones are over $5k, the one I bought was a very reasonable $2100 with very reasonable install cost. Will take care a very loud steely buzz in the back.
Its also creating another symptom I think: my front drivers side wheel makes a periodic "pulse/buzz/hum" specifically after I jump on it...like a freeway on ramp or something. Not under 20 mph, or even if I drive through the neighborhood "gently"...just after pushing it bit. Turn off the car, and start again later...it sort of resets and no more noise...until I push it again. It's like it's working against itself. BTW that particular rotor is not significantly hotter that the others after stop, but it feels like ABS, brake, something related. Don't know if the Diff and this are related but I'm suspecting maybe.
I'd love to know your thoughts on the front noise and if you have a line on a differential for 2012 S63 that would be great too! Thanks a million as always.

2012 AMG S63. Please let me know why you think its high? I've looked at every common OEM parts site we discuss on this board. There's a junker in Michigan, but it's a year off. It's less I think but I need/want exact fitment.
