Engine Light Came On & Car shutdown
I just bought a 2011 S63 AMG with 40,000 miles. Had it for a week and as I was driving on the highway on cruise control at 75 and all of a sudden the engine light comes on and the nothing seemed to work.
The car shutdown.
I pulled over and started the car after 5 mins and the car started up again. Started to drive the car and about 2 miles down the road same thing happens again.
Of course I took it back to the dealer and they will look at it on Tuesday.
Has this happened to anyone and if so what was it.

After a little digging this is what I found about the engine light:
"There may be a malfunction in the engine management system, the fuel injection system, the exhaust system, the ignition system, or the fuel system. The emission values may have been exceeded and the engine may be breaking into emergency mode."
This narrows it down and I will wait and see what the dealer says on Tuesday.
