No TPMS menu screen?
My vin is WDBNG79J56A477014 and according to online vin decoders, my car should have option 475 TIRE PRESSURE (TPM) HIGH LINE / MID LINE installed. However, going through the IC menus, there is no TPMS screen. Apart from the PO having had it coded out, is there anything else I should be looking at? It'd be nice to get the system working again, but the batteries in the TPMS sensors probably died and the previous owner had it coded out... at least that's what I'm assuming.

By the way, when I was looking at the IC the other night to see what other idiot lights are on the cluster, I do not recall seeing a flat tire indicator that would normally be present in the lower left hand corner. Would it be possible that my S65 just doesn't have the system at all? Didn't all post-facelift W220 vehicles come with TPMS standard?
EDIT: never mind. Seems I do have a low tire idiot light in the IC. I just don't remember it ever coming on before, even when turning the key on the ignition to position 2. BTW, my gauge cluster seems to be Canadian or from somewhere else as the CEL icon is an actual engine diagram rather than the words CHECK ENGINE. Strange...

I have read two different things. One is it is coded out and the other is when TPMS all die, the option disappears. I have four new sensors in the trunk of my old 2005 S55 that I have not installed yet... So I don't know!

Well, if all 4 wheel sensors were missing or dead, and if the TPMS computer wasn't coded out in STAR, wouldn't at least the flat-tire dummy light illuminate and remain on?

Sounds good! Thanks!
FWIW, I had a look at my tire stems not too long ago, and they're rubber rather than metal. That leads me to believe that the PO simply took them out when the batteries died. Hopefully the system just turns itself off if that's the case.
