ABC pump failed. Tips?
Hi i think my ABC pump has finally let go. Was making a ticking/knocking noise around 40mph. Higher speeds the sound would go away. Recently the noise has stayed consistent all the way to 70-80mph. I received a red error the other day and the noise was completely gone. I assume the pump is the culprit. Having a diagnostics done tomorrow evening. Any tips on replacing an ABC pump? As i will tackle this job myself.

There have been several posts here, and over at Benzworld regarding DIY instructions on replacing the ABC pump. Overall, it's not too difficult with proper tools and patience. While you're at it, you might as well replace all the hydraulic lines to and from the pump at the same time as those generally tend to rupture and fail with age. A failure in either the pump or hydraulic lines will render the vehicle inoperative and leave you stranded on the side of the road.
