Keyless Go Not Working?

The button to start/stop the engine does not work, yes I've tried pressing the brake.
My call dealer said it was the chip card and to buy one on eBay and I have to get it programmed, just wondering if anyone have any advice on it?

Have you confirmed that the battery in the key fob is new/good?

First, what year is your vehicle.. Only the early 2003/4 models came with the chip card. Did you recently have a key replaced that doesn't work? Do you have a spare key to try? I have seen where the parts department will accidentally sell people non Keyless go keys. Also if it is a keyless go key, you may have to have the key taught into the system by telling the EIS to look for key-track "x" (your current key) for keyless go use. Some vehicles can only have 2 keyless go keys working at a time but they have to be assigned to 1 of 2 slots.

Some times the push button swicth is bad. or the pins from the switch break off in the stalk. Take the shift knob off. Turn the very bottom {Tapered} piece off so it slides down the shift stalk. Pull the shift knob straight up. Do not twist it. There are two little holes in the top of the stalk. If a pin is broken off, remove it. Take a short lenght of 18ga solid wire, strip each end, and jump between to two holes in the stalk. Just push the 18ga wire right in each hole.Step on the brake and see if it starts. If it does, you need a new knob. Try this before you go to the dealer. I made a post. Search my posts for it.
