Dealer broke emblem on engine cover...any way to replace just emblem?

Hello....I really need to apologize and i hope that someone here can help me because it has happened to them.

Car was at the dealer for a couple of little issues, and they found something major wrong with the motor and replaced camshafts (had the same problem on my '09 S63 which was non turbo). I should have opened the hood to check, but i didn't and today I needed to add some washer fluid and what do i find? The Mercedes Star Emblem is broken off the center engine cover and the right side oil filter cover is loose to the touch because one of the two upper clips are broken. Dealer of course tries to blame someone else....they don't do oil change services so that person must have done it. The engine oil was changed before they worked on it and everything was good at the time, or they would have noted the damage/broken parts to protect themselves. And the Parts & Service Director is aware that I change my own oil, since he told me in the past to "just do it yourself" and reset the maintenance minder.

Long story short, because of the price of the center engine cover on a S63, the dealer offers to be "gracious" by charging me cost and no labor to install the plastic pop on covers! Next step of course is social media and Mercedes Customer Service as each valid complaint lowers their "bonus" payments. All i want is to be made whole, and why should i have to pay for parts that their inept mechanic (definitely not a technician) broke? And the Service Advisor said "oh they all loose the emblem from the heat causing it to come off".....really? And yes, though they worked on the engine a couple of months ago, the car has been parked because the summer only tires don't like the cold pavement. And yes, that dirty cover/underhood is how i got the car back from them as it didn't get dirty sitting parked in the garage for the last few months.

missing Mercedes symbol...several guide pins for bonding broken in their respective holes

Service director told me that this is only a push on cover ... no clips

Has anyone had to replace the emblem with something suitable and close fitting? Any recommendations while i wait for Mercedes Benz Customer Relations to upgrade to a specialist?

Thanks.....

Thanks for the suggestions! I think that its a shame that the dealerships do things like this and then don't own up to it. I spent many years working in the industry and NEVER did I allow something like to happen and not make the customer "whole" again. Guess thats why I had the good fortune to retire clean and benefit from the good Karma that I received
