2004 S55 water damage ?

Hi all, first I'd like to say this is a great site, found the cause of all my problems by searching the site. I am a victim of the clogged drain problem that at the time was unknown to me. What a huge design flaw for such a nice car. I bought a beautiful, excellent condition 2004 S55 AMG a few months back which I promptly nickname the rocket. My problem started when we had two days of serious rain. I live in West Palm Beach Florida and it was that time of the year but I didn't think anything of it, never thought the car would flood from rain. With all the sensors and electronics in his car I'm surprise it didn't have a clogged drain sensor . I got in the car to go to the store, first sign of problem was the dashboard signaled defective dash display and all kinds of warnings came up, I immediately shut the car off checked all the fluids, all checked out ok then car started up and everything seemed fine. I put it on my neighbor snap on scanner and nothing came up the next day the car shut off on me at a stop sign and I could hear all kinds of solenoid clicking lights were flickering so I shut it off and disconnected the battery and had AAA tow it to my warehouse . Put the scanner back on and nothing wouldn't even read . After searching the site I remove the rear seat and found the rear Sam unit sumerged in water. I immediately remove the entire interior, vacuumed out all the water and let the car and carpet dry in the hot Florida sun for 2 months. I found a ton of leaves under the hood of the car. I completely took apart the Sam and cleaned it. It did not look bad, no corrosion or burnt looking parts no fuses burn I checked every fuse in the entire car. I put the car all back together but now the key won't even turn in the ignition or lock and unlock the car. When I connect the battery the interior lights come on and I can move the seats but that's about it .The dealer wants $450 for a new Sam unit. My question is could the rear Sam unit affect the ignition system, and has anyone had this problem where the water in the Sam knocked out more than one computer? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you all and have a great day.
