'08 S-65 driver's seat not moving back

Hey gents....

Just picked her up from the detailer. Looks spiffy but....

Upon picking her up the driver's seat slides maybe 1/3 the way back and stops. Moves as though it is getting caught on something on the right side of the mechanism that slides the seat fore/aft. Moves up and down fine. Slides so far forward that a midget could get comfy...

Shining the flashlight under the seat reveals nothing obvious.

edit: It looks as though there is a steel bump in the track on the right side track. I'm wondering if this is a bump that is supposed to set the limit of travel forward for the seat.... I.E. It got hyper-extended forward when seats were slid up and forward to clean... Anyone who is familiar with such things speak up.

comparison of how far passenger side front seat moves forward VS driver's seat says L/F seat got moved beyond the stop. Soooo how to unwind this?

Pointers?

thanks, John

Driver's seat moves back to approx as far as the passenger side front seat is able to move forward before running into the stop.

It has clearly moved forward beyond the stop built into the seat track. The stop is a lump of steel that stops the guy that slides the seat fore and aft from going beyond X. The stop now prevents the seat from sliding back.

Have any of you got to have seat tracks out of a 221? Oh.... With the seat all the way forward and then some.

But the car looks spiffy!

Mystery solved.

PO's wife must have been pissed with him. She stashed one of his 7.75mm steel ***** away such that it ended up dropping into the seat channel as the detailer did her work. It was in there such that the threaded rod that fore/aft adjustment happens with had to be freed (drill out the rivet) + some wrestling moves for a telescoping magnet to find it's way in there to extract it from one of the low spots in the seat channel.

Seat at moves as it should. All plastic back in place.

Rumor or has it PO traded it for a Viper.
