The Real AMG - As recognized by Barrett Jackson Auto Auction
I always like watching Barrett Jackson Auto Auction on TV. The announcer always has a lot of background information on a car that is actively being bid on. This is the first time I saw a SL55 AMG being auctioned off. The announcer made the claim that the AMG cars with the Hand Built engines that are signed by the engine builder are sought by collectors as they are the Real AMG cars and not the cars fitted with AMG accessories. On that note I cleaned my 2003 S55 AMG, rolled it into the garage for the winter and covered with the AMG Car Cover. Hoping for an appreciation in value over the winter.
I will probably bring out the car on a clear warm day for some exercise and some winterizing.

Too funny! My ‘06 gets the same treatment, even though it’ll never fetch top dollar at Barrett Jackson. No real euro buyers in that crowd...
